The Millionaire Makeover
Bachelor Auction #2

Blurb

Plain-Jane computer programmer Khloe Richardson needs a date—one to make the prince of

her dreams jealous. Maybe then he’ll finally see her as a desirable swan and not the ugly

duckling in the second office from the left.

But when she bids on a bachelor at a charity auction, the man she wins is millionaire Niall

Hunter—who once made intense, passionate love to her and then left without a word. She’s

determined not to let her guard down again—among other things—around the infamous Irish

lothario.

Niall never imagined his penance for one hot-as-hell night with his best friend’s little sister would

be transforming her from a shy wallflower to a sultry siren. Helping her attract another man is

torture…especially when he promised his friend he’d stay away. Plus, she wants forever, and

he’s not a forever kind of guy. But Niall can’t stop wanting her. Can’t stop touching her. Can’t

stop, period. And damn if he can remember why he has to…

Review:

What scintillating entertainment!

Niall was as strong as Irish ale, and he made no pretenses about it. He knew what he was and what he liked, and he had little self-control when it came to enjoying himself. How can you not love- and maybe even a little, envy – him? Well, I surely do. And add a big-hearted, strong-in-her-own-way computer nerd with a hot bod and beautiful green eyes, and what temptation for him, especially since he promised her beloved big-brother, who was his best friend, that he’d stay away- after he’d already had a taste of her, that is. Let the withdrawal symptoms begin.

From the bachelor auction to the Christmas party, what wonderful fun. Witty banter, sexual tension, and hilarious characters were all woven into a great time-taker. I could imagine every scene, and I could almost hear the Irish accent. Nicely done!

Khloe was as sensible as she could be, right down to her orthopedic shoes. She had body issues – in her head- but she longed for a man of her own. Now if only she could open up, see her worth, and put herself out there, she could have it all. That’s where her best friend came in. Morgan is more than a mess. Her middle name should Trouble, and I loved everything about her. She practically stole the scenes she was in, but she didn’t overshadow the main characters. She just held her own. I’m so looking out for her story.

And Laurence, Terry, and Reese- SHOWSTOPPERS FOR SURE! I absolutely love them! All I can say is, READ. THE. BOOK. I laughed so hard. Not just at their witty comments, but others as well. The narrative was even a hoot at times.

I do wish the book had been just a little bit longer. Maybe one or two more dates for Niall and Khloe. In other words, I wish I could’ve seen the together a little more before the big discovery of love, but please understand, I’m not disappointed. Just wished for more.

Pick a quiet corner, grab a snack, and turn off the TV. You’ll be glad you did.

Rating system: The less the better.

0: You won’t need any coffee to stay up for this one. It’s intriguing enough all on its own.
1: You’ll stay up late, but not all night. Brew one cup.
2: You’ll read as long as you’re not tired. If you are, two cups should do the trick.
3: I hope you got plenty of rest; you’ll need it, or at least 3 cups.
4: If the cable goes out, read the book. It’s better than nothing, I guess. Oh, don’t forget your brew!
5: Find anything else to do- it doesn’t matter what it is. Don’t waste your coffee. Too much caffeine is bad for you.

My rating: 1/2 cup of coffee

Author Info

Naima’s love of romance was first stirred by Johanna Lindsey and Linda Howard many years

ago. Though her first attempt at writing a romance novel at 11 never saw the light of day, her

love of romance and writing has endured. Now, she spends her time creating stories of unique

men and women who experience the dizzying heights of passion and the tender heat of love.

She is the wife to Superman – or his non-Kryptonian, less bullet proof equivalent – and mother to

the most awesome kids ever. They all live in perfect, domestically-challenged bliss in the

southern United States.

Excerpt

A bead of sweat rolled down Niall’s spine as every pint of blood in his body seemed to flow

south and congregate in his cock. Somewhere there was a woodshed with his name on it for the

lessons he’d taught Khloe that night. As much as he’d been drinking, he shouldn’t have been able to

move, much less fuck. But he’d taken her like a man possessed. Over and over. On her back. Her

stomach. Her side. On his back. And he recalled each and every moment as if the sheer heat of those

hours had burned away memories that should’ve been fogged by alcohol. Maybe that was part of his

punishment for laying a hand on Michael’s much-loved baby sister. Damned to never forget the

most explosive, mind-blowing sex of his life…and doomed never to repeat it because of his friend’s

last request before his death.

Yeah, God was definitely a woman.

Only a female could be that fucking diabolical.
