Much better!

I was delighted to see the improvement in the story. I’m still a little confused by Daniel’s presence, but I’m more accepting. I adore Ben. The author did an excellent job developing his character. I connected more to his character than I did Jaime, but nonetheless, they make a cute couple. I also liked that I didn’t see their relationship coming.

Although I didn’t mention in during my review of the first book, the author’s use of the word ugh is obviously wrong. It sometimes broke my concentration and desperately needs to be corrected. Ugh is a word for disgust, not pleasure.

Despite the almost irritating need for a good editing, the story did, in fact, improve. I am more interested in the outcome, and I have every intention of reading book 3.

Rating system: Cups of coffee – the less the better

0: You won’t need any coffee to stay up for this one. It’s intriguing enough all on its own.
1: You’ll stay up late, but not all night. Brew one cup.
2: You’ll read as long as you’re not tired. If you are, two cups should do the trick.
3: I hope you got plenty of rest; you’ll need it, or at least 3 cups.
4: If the cable goes out, read the book. It’s better than nothing, I guess. Oh, don’t forget your brew!
5: Find anything else to do- doesn’t matter what it is. Don’t waste your coffee. Too much caffeine is bad for you.

My rating: 2 cups of coffee
