I didn’t want to put this book down, and when I did, I couldn’t wait to pick up back up again!

Marlowe is not sure why she sometimes thinks of herself as Elizabeth, but there has to be some rational reason. Why Maxwell allowed his brother to leave such a hellion with him was beyond his reasoning ability, but thus was the case. Discovering Marlowe’s true identify while unveiling her honorable side turns out to be the best adventure of both their lives.

Smart, strong, capable, and feisty are all words that can be used to describe Marlowe. Not despite her faults, but because of them, I absolutely loved her character. Her dialogue was witty, her strength a force to be reckoned with.

Maxwell is what any historical romance reader would expect an Earl to be, but his development is inspiring, not to mention HOT! His patience with Marlowe captured my heart as well as she captured his. I loved it when they worked together, and their connection was strong and believable.

I had no problem becoming a part of this story or a part of the characters’ lives. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen, but at the same time, I didn’t want it to end. The writing was superb, the descriptions vivid, and the dialogue refreshing, and occassionally funny.

This is an ABSOLUTE MUST-READ!

Rating system: Cups of coffee – the less the better

0: You won’t need any coffee to stay up for this one. It’s intriguing enough all on its own.
1: You’ll stay up late, but not all night. Brew one cup.
2: You’ll read as long as you’re not tired. If you are, two cups should do the trick.
3: I hope you got plenty of rest; you’ll need it, or at least 3 cups.
4: If the cable goes out, read the book. It’s better than nothing, I guess. Oh, don’t forget your brew!
5: Find anything else to do- it doesn’t matter what it is. Don’t waste your coffee. Too much caffeine is bad for you.

My rating: 0 cups of coffee
