A Hellion in Her Bed by Sabrina Jeffries, tells the story of Annabel Lake’s quest to save her family’s brewery, and her blooming relationship with Lord Jarret Sharpe, the man who will risk his very heart to help her.

One thing that immediately caught my attention about this book was the family business. I was actually pleasantly surprised by this unusual occupation. I’ve read many historical romances, but none set around a brewery.

It took me no time at all to fall in love with Jarret. He’s a rascal, through and through. His manner of speaking, and what appears at first to be cockiness, had me hooked from his first dialog. I couldn’t wait to see what he would “say” next. I love that Annabel was strong and determined, yet sweet and lovable. The development in their relationship was arousing, and the love-making…OH SO STEAMY!!!

Go to the restroom, turn off the TV, grab a snack, and find some place comfortable to sit. You’re not going to put this down, even when you’re done.

Rating system: Cups of coffee – the less the better

0: You won’t need any coffee to stay up for this one. It’s intriguing enough all on its own.
1: You’ll stay up late, but not all night. Brew one cup.
2: You’ll read as long as you’re not tired. If you are, two cups should do the trick.
3: I hope you got plenty of rest, you’ll need it, or at least 3 cups.
4: If the cable goes out, read the book. It’s better than nothing, I guess. Oh, don’t forget your brew!
5: Find anything else to do- doesn’t matter what it is. Don’t waste your coffee. Too much caffeine is bad for you.

My rating: 0 cups of coffee
