Review:
A sexy, sassy masterpiece!
Tori has had enough of the public eye. After dating a media-hungry politician who announced his new single status on a radio show prior to informing Tori of the change in their relationship, Tori needed a vacation. What better place than to end up in Aruba, the, as luck would have it, chosen vacation destination for a very famous Carter, who’s taking a much needed break. Under the direction of his agent, Carter is to avoid all attention, so his new look, thanks to his last role, comes in handy. He’s tired of people wanting to connect to him for potential game from his celebrity status, so his thrilled when Tori has no idea who he is. That can only last so long, right?
I initially thought the entire story would take place in Aruba. Such a pleasant surprise that we got to see both Tori and Carter on their own turf. Their relationship has its moments, and trust had to be earned and securities overcome, but through it all, their chemistry and connection was on point. This isn’t a standard, cliche version of hot-movie-star-falling-for-the-unfamous. Sosa’s crafty, original delivery gives credence to her impressive writing skills. I’ve read other books by Sosa, and this was a welcome addition to my collection, as was the others.
There’re some nice subplots that are great setups to sequels. The secondary characters are just as charming as the Mcs. I laughed so much from the beginning. Their meet-cute is chart-topping (I have a chart), and Carter has definitely become a part of my book-boyfriend harem. He genuinely loves being an actor – the craft itself, not the prestige that comes along with him. He makes mistakes, but he’s good about admitting and owning up to them. What’s not to love? I’d love a girl’s-night-out-with-Tori and her roommate, Eva. And Carter’s mom is a hoot. None of that June Cleaver crap for her.
I was enthralled in this welcoming world. I wanted more. Lucky for me, for all of us, this is the 1st in a series.
Put the dog out and feed the cat (or vice versa). Just prepare yourself for an uninterrupted one-sitting read.

0: You won’t need any coffee to stay up for this one. It’s intriguing enough all on its own.
1: You’ll stay up late, but not all night. Brew one cup.
2: You’ll read as long as you’re not tired. If you are, two cups should do the trick.
3: I hope you got plenty of rest; you’ll need it, or at least 3 cups.
4: If the cable goes out, read the book. It’s better than nothing, I guess. Oh, don’t forget your brew!
5: Find anything else to do- it doesn’t matter what it is. Don’t waste your coffee. Too much caffeine is bad for you.
