Review:

I first met Julie and Lawson in Welcome to Forever. I was so happy when I got a chance to review this.

I wasn’t sure about Julie at the beginning of Welcome to Forever, but she did grow on me in that book, and I liked her even more in this one. It helped me to understand her better from the first book, and I was glad to see she did learn to stand on her own and chase her dream. I liked Lawson from the beginning. When I read about what he’d gone through, my heart went out to him. I know his ordeal wasn’t anywhere as near as bad as it could’ve been, but it was difficult, and he was doing what he could to manage. He did have to learn to open up, and I was glad he and Julie came together.

My heart sank during the climax (I won’t ruin it for you guys). I felt Lawson’s pain just as much as I felt Julie’s and I was anxious to see how they would reconcile. Beth and Sabrina were nice additions to the story, and who knows, maybe we’ll get a chance to read about Beth finding her true love.

The relationship developed at a good pace; the writing is excellent. The incident with the massage job had me laughing out loud. I thought that was a nice little touch.

As always, Val was a pleasure. She was a hoot in the first book, and I was so happy to be able to revisit her in this one. I know there is going to be something between her and Griffin (at least, I’m hoping), and I’m excited about that.

Grab a copy, sit back, and relax.

Rating system: Cups of coffee (The less the better)

0: You won’t need any coffee to stay up for this one. It’s intriguing enough all on its own.
1: You’ll stay up late, but not all night. Brew one cup.
2: You’ll read as long as you’re not tired. If you are, two cups should do the trick.
3: I hope you got plenty of rest; you’ll need it, or at least 3 cups.
4: If the cable goes out, read the book. It’s better than nothing, I guess. Oh, don’t forget your brew!
5: Find anything else to do- it doesn’t matter what it is. Don’t waste your coffee. Too much caffeine is bad for you.

My rating: 0 cups of coffee
